GenerateBot provides multiple secure authentication options to protect your account and content.

Authentication Methods

Email & Password

The traditional sign-in method:

  1. Create account with email and password
  2. Verify your email address
  3. Sign in with your credentials

Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers
  • Special characters recommended

Social Sign-In

Quick sign-in with existing accounts:

  • Google - Sign in with Google account
  • Other providers - May be available based on configuration

Passwordless authentication:

  1. Enter your email address
  2. Receive a sign-in link
  3. Click the link to sign in
  4. No password needed

Account Security

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Add an extra layer of security:

Setup MFA:

  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Find Multi-Factor Authentication
  3. Click "Setup a new Factor"
  4. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  5. Enter verification code
  6. Save backup codes securely

Recommended Apps:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • 1Password
  • Microsoft Authenticator

Session Management

Session Security:

  • Automatic timeout after inactivity
  • Secure session cookies
  • Device tracking available

Best Practices:

  • Sign out on shared computers
  • Don't save passwords on public devices
  • Review active sessions regularly

Password Management

Change Password

  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Find Update your Password
  3. Enter new password
  4. Confirm new password
  5. Click "Update Password"

Forgot Password

  1. Go to Sign In page
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check email for reset link
  5. Create new password

Password Best Practices

Do:

  • Use unique passwords
  • Store in password manager
  • Update periodically
  • Use MFA when available

Don't:

  • Reuse passwords
  • Share credentials
  • Use obvious passwords
  • Store in plain text

Email Verification

Initial Verification

When you sign up:

  1. Verification email sent automatically
  2. Click link in email
  3. Account activated

Resend Verification

If you didn't receive it:

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Request new verification email
  3. Contact support if persistent

Change Email

  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Find Update your Email
  3. Enter new email address
  4. Verify new email
  5. Old email notified of change

Team Account Access

Team Invitations

Join a team workspace:

  1. Receive invitation email
  2. Click invitation link
  3. Create or sign in to account
  4. Access team workspace

Role-Based Access

Team members have different permissions:

  • Owner - Full access, billing, settings
  • Admin - Manage members, content
  • Member - Use features, create content

Troubleshooting

Can't Sign In

Check:

  • Email address is correct
  • Password is correct
  • Caps Lock is off
  • Account is verified

Solutions:

  • Reset password
  • Try different browser
  • Clear browser cache
  • Contact support

Account Locked

After multiple failed attempts:

  1. Wait 15-30 minutes
  2. Try password reset
  3. Contact support if needed

MFA Issues

If you lose MFA access:

  1. Use backup codes
  2. Contact support with verification
  3. May require identity verification

Privacy & Security

Data Protection

  • All data encrypted in transit
  • Secure database storage
  • Regular security audits
  • GDPR compliance

Account Deletion

To delete your account:

  1. Contact support
  2. Verify your identity
  3. Data will be permanently removed
